Meet the Lightweight Chore Jacket. It’s a classic, well structured jacket that falls in that sweet spot between workwear and casual. It’s the one piece you can just throw on, regardless of the occasion, to look put together and well-styled.

A soft, light jacket that was built for the Indian climate. It’s warm enough for those freezing offices and early morning flights and light enough to be worn most of the year.

The Chore Jacket has an interesting history. It’s been around since the 1800s and was the uniform of French labourers, often dyed blue (thus giving rise to the term “blue-collar worker”). Over the years, the chore jacket moved up the ranks to be favoured by artists, photographers, rappers, rock stars, and others in the underground alt-fashion scene.

DESIGN & FIT

This jacket has a straight, boxy fit. It is perfect to wear over jeans or dresses.

It’s a longer jacket that’s designed to sit below your hips, has gigantic pockets that’ll definitely come in handy and beautiful blue buttons.

The jacket is roomy enough to layer with a sweatshirt for a casual look or wear over a simple top for work.

The lightweight chore jacket is made with 100% organic cotton.

The jacket is made with a cotton drill fabric that's strong, dense and resistant to wear & tear. The fabric has a characteristic diagonal weave which gives it an ability to withstand rigorous use while still being comfortable, soft and breathable.

The best part? Each wash makes the jacket softer and more lived in. You’ll love this one for years to come.

SUSTAINABILITY

100% organic cotton. Recycled plastic buttons. Plastic-free labels

This fabric is 100% organic and GOTS certified. GOTS is the leading standard for textiles made from organic fabrics. The cotton we use is organically grown and everyone from the yarn and fabric supplier to the manufacturer are certified.

The jacket also comes with recycled plastic buttons and plastic-free labels and tags. Lastly, all treatments and dyes we use are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. Nothing harmful for your skin.

I ordered two products the chore jacket and black trousers and can definitely say their products are well researched and made with care. The bonus is the material oh! my goodness it is really for keeps. Highly recommended just have to watch the size. Mine is under process, the chore jacket, hoping this time the size is a snug fit.
